The musical compositions of Richard Burdick
Water, Bells echo
Written for my horn class at the University of Regina summer band program.
An improvisatory work for students. It opens with a slide and wiggling of the hand in the bell, which symbolizes water. It is also a technique that help horn student put their hand in the bell in the correct place.
The graphic notation is something that helps the student read a score and think in sort of an event-time way.
