Hiring and Commissioning:
Richard Burdick
- Solo & chamber musician
Currently Mr. Burdick has been featuring his arrangement of Handel's aria "Golden Columns" for horn and piano as his show piece for master classes and recitals.
Chamber music situations where Richard is invited to share his own compositions as part of a program will greatly reduce the cost of hiring him as a horn player or soloist.
- Solo (concerto)
Mr. Burdick has a great deal of experience performing solos, he keeps his prices low as long as the engagement does not conflict with the Regina Symphony Orchestra's schedule, and it is understood that he does not perform from memory or stand up when performing.
- Arranger
Richard has recently done several arrangements for the Regina Symphony Core orchestra and has experience going back to his arrangement for the Sacramento Symphony in the early 1990's
- Composer
Mr. Burdick prefers to write the music that he wants to if you have a desire to have a work written by him find the contact information below and call him to talk about it.
- Recording artist
One Mr. Burdick's real passions is to record, he is please to help people with recordings. He has done a few recordings where, a composer, or performer sends him sheet music to play, and an mp3 to play along with, then he returns a wav file of the horn tracks to plug into the mix. It's not expensive!
Be prepared to have your music criticized if it is not well written for horn. E-mailing pdf's with the request is preferred.
