"Let Me Out"
an electronic tape sound collage

With feelings from my Punk heritage, and experiments with an old reel-to-reel tape recorder and the electronic studio and California State University @ Hayward, where we used patch chords to connect oscillators, band pass filters, sequencers, etc. . . This music takes me on a trip into dark solitude where language isn't quite working.

Written in the dark days of my early adult life. This is a collage of tape music, some recorded sitting on my fathers deck late at night, some in the electronic studio at Cal. State University @ Hayward. The whizzing sounds were done by recording electronic sounds and then playing them back at high speeds in the tape recorder.

The 60 Hertz buzz is an important part of this work.

A weird electronic tape composition, from 1982. Made in my college electronic studio with reel-to-reel tape, patch-cord synthesizers and tape manipulation.

Post punk avant-garde.
