Dr. Pyckle and Mr. Pride
for chamber orchestra with film

Dr. Pyckle and Mr. Pride is a comedy film by Stan Laurel from 1924. Composer and French hornist Richard O. Burdick wrote the soundtrack score in 2016 for chamber orchestra. Dr. Pyckle is a brilliant scientist who creates a serum that can turn people into animals. Mr. Pride is a businessman who wants to use the serum for his own gain. The two men battle it out in a series of hilarious and exciting episodes. The music by Burdick is both whimsical and exciting, and it perfectly compliments the action on screen.

This premiered in a version for Brass trio with film and sound track on the free library series April 17, 2016 at the Downtown library Regina, SK Canada.

This can be performed in a variety of insturment combinations, preferably a trio or larger with the film and sound track.

I am not making this a download from MusicaNeo, as I do with most of my works, to perform it, you will need to contact me via the contacts page.
