The Idea of fixed tonic has been a very important one to me.
Now that I am in my fourth period of the scales the fixed tones are each unique to the scale
In the first and second I ching scale periods,
These tonics in the first and second scale set are somewhat based on the I Ching meaning and inter-relationship of the hexagrams and I see some relationship of consonant and dissonant musical intervals as part of this organization.
This musical intervallic relationship is obvious in the opposite primary hexagrams 1 & 2 being assigned C & F# the tritone opposite.
